Kirks Mountain Adventures offers our guided Long Peak trips as either a one-day adventure or an overnight backpacking trip:

Day Trips: 1 guest = $500 – $100 / Additional Guest

Our Longs Peak one-day trekking tour begins bright and early at 2 a.m, when clients will typically meet their guide at our shop in downtown Estes Park. To ensure your safety, it is crucial to leave at an early hour. Reaching the summit of Longs Peak before the afternoon thunderstorms will give you the best views and experience.  As you are hiking up Longs, you can look out over the Chasm Lake turnoff and view the city lights of the Front Range.

From here you will continue on to the Boulder Field and the Keyhole. The Keyhole overlooks the back side of Longs, and is your passage to the long trek up the summit. Once through the Keyhole you will ascend to the summit of Longs Peak. Though there are only two miles left after the Keyhole,  this is the most difficult part.

The reward of summiting Longs Peak is certainly worth it, when you stand at 14,259 ft and take in the most spectacular views of RMNP, the Estes Park Valley, and the Colorado Front Range!

Overnight Trips: $250/person/day

Minimum 2 people or $500/day for 1 person

This trip includes an overnight stay at the Boulder Field, all food, backpacking equipment, and an experienced guide and transportation. You will summit Longs early on the second morning alongside your guide and begin your descent back towards Estes Park that afternoon.

When Should I Book My Trip?

The optimal time to reserve your Longs Peak trip is from the last week in July to the first week in September. This is when the trails are clear of snow and ice and you have the highest probability of successfully summiting. If reserving an overnight trip, please give us as much advance notice as possible, as the sites in the Boulder Field book up very quickly!

If you have a group larger than 12, please call for our group rates.
